“The Girl,” the latest original film from HBO, centers on the relationship between Alfred Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren during production of “The Birds.” The film alleges that the master of horror (played by Toby Jones) sexually harassed the actress after casting her in the 1963 classic thriller. According to The Wrap, the story is based on claims made by Hedren that the director threatened to ruin her career if she refused his advances.
