Controversy has swirled around struggling New York Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez, and now news has come out that management is already discussing a trade before the season is over.
New York is in talks with the Miami Marlins to move Rodriguez, and the Yankees would eat most of the $114 million still owed on his contract, as first reported by Keith Olbermann.

Another scenario has the Yankees receiving closer Heath Bell in return, which would lessen the amount New York would have to pay Rodriguez.
The Yankees are currently down 3-0 to the Detroit Tigers in the American League Championship series, and Rodriguez, like the rest of the team’s lineup, has struggled at the plate.
For the playoffs the 37-year-old Miami native has hit .130 with 12 strikeouts, and was benched for two games in the past week in favor of third baseman Eric Chavez and hot hitting Raul Ibanez.
Earlier this week a story by the New York Post revealed Rodriguez was flirting with fans in the ninth inning of Game 1 of the ALCS when the Yankees were down.
