WWE’ “Main Event” program is attempting to legitimize a b-show for the brand that has put out so many subpar shows in the past. After a World Champion vs. World Champion match, and a bout between Randy Orton and Big Show, the weekly professional wrestling event featured its first title change when The Miz lost the Intercontinental Championship to Kofi Kingston, reports WWE.com.

WWE and pro-wrestling as a whole has a habit of repeating itself, and the b-shows WWE puts out have a history of being at a notably lower level than their two main programs. “Heat,” “Velocity,” and more recently “Superstars” all featured low level talent as opposed to the stars that draw audiences to the main WWE shows.

“Main Event” has made clear efforts to change that with high caliber matches that will continue this Wednesday with Kingston’s victory of Miz. According to NoDQ, the match has been well received by fans in attendance; it went about 20 minutes and was a physical fight.

Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler defeated Zack Ryder in the second match of the evening, claims ProWrestling.net. WWE is apparently continuing the new trend of putting the biggest match first on their Wednesday night “Main Event” program.
