President Barack Obama has given his opinion on the infamous "American Idol" feud between judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.
The president called in to radio host Michael Yo's "The Yo Show," and was asked if he could “repair the relationship” between the singing stars.

"I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident. I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards,” Obama said, according to NBC's "Today" show.
Earlier this month at the "American Idol" auditions in Charlotte, N.C., Minaj had a heated altercation with Carey as Keith Urban sat uncomfortably between them.
“I told them I’m not [expletive] putting up with your [expletive] highness over here,” Minaj sniped, according to TMZ.
Meanwhile, Carey’s responses are inaudible in a video that was released by the celebrity gossip site.
"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest does not mind the catfights between Minaj and Carey one bit.
"We want that! We want them to be on this panel together," Seacrest said on his radio show. "This is a good team, a great team, to go out and look for the next 'American Idol.' ... The feedback that they give is very good.”
Others, however, believe the feud is staged. Jennifer Hudson, an "American Idol" alumna, told TMZ, “I don’t believe it. … I think it’s just for ratings for the show."
