Comic Con is always full of special guests, panelists, and a chaotic showroom floor, but it wouldn’t be Comic Con without the masses dressed in their favorite cosplay. For some, the best part of the annual pop culture convention is getting the chance to be their favorite character or superhero for the weekend.

For four days, from Oct. 11 to the 14, costumed convention-goers paraded down 34^th Street in midtown Manhattan on the long trek to the Jacob K. Javits Center. From anime, to comic book characters, to familiar faces from video games, the 2012 New York Comic Convention brought costumes of all kinds.
