-President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have no public events scheduled for Monday.

- First Lady Michelle Obama will attend a campaign event in Delaware, Ohio, before visiting Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland.

The September jobs report is the next-to-last before the presidential election -- and now the unemployment rate is lower than it was when President Barack Obama entered office.

 - A new Washington Post/ABC national polls shows Obama with a three-point lead over his Republican challenger Mitt Romney. However,a Public Policy Poll in Florida found the president practically tied with Romney in the battleground state.

- Both Democratic and Republican insiders expect Obama to have a dramatically better performance in his second debate against Romney, according to The Hill.
