Bollywood Actresses Back After Break: Comeback Beauties Hitting Silver Screen [PHOTOS]
The year 2012 marks the comeback of Bollywood divas to the big screen. Actresses like Madhuri, Sridevi, Karishma Kapoor, Kajol, Juhi Chawla and several others won the hearts of millions through their beauty and talent.
These women had their share of success when they entered the film industry, but made an exit for several reasons.
Now these actresses are coming back to the big screen with rage after a long sabbatical.
1. Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri Dixit, a Bollywood superstar of 1990s, made her comeback in films after six years with 2007 film "Aaja Nachle" which was declared a flop movie by Box Office India. She was a judge on TV reality show "Jhalak Dikhla Jaa" on Colors television. The 45-year-old actress will now be seen in "Dedh Ishqiya", a sequel film of Vidya Balan starrer "Ishqiya".
Sridevi made her Bollywood comeback after 15 years with director Gauri Shinde's movie "English Vinglish" which has been highly praised by both critics and movie buffs.
3. Karishma Kapoor
Karishma, fondly known as "Lolo", disappeared from the silver screen after her marriage to industrialist Sanjay Kapur in 2003. She eventually made a comeback with Vikram Bhatt's 2012 supernatural thriller "Dangerous Ishhq" which failed to attract audiences.
4. Preity Zinta
After "Heroes" Preity Zinta took a four-year break from films. She is making her comeback in her own debut production titled "Ishkq in Paris."
After working in 2001 blockbuster "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham", Kajol took a full-time break from acting for the birth of her first child. She made a special appearance in 2003 movie "Kal Ho Naa Ho", and three years later she returned to the silver screen with Kunal Kohli's movie "Fanaa" which was declared a super hit at the Box Office.
6. Manisha Koirala
Manisha was seen doing some low-budget films and now the actress will be seen in Ram Gopal Varma's "Bhoot Returns" which is all set to release next week.
7. Juhi Chawla
Juhi's last mainstream Bollywood flick was "Luck by Chance" in 2009 after which she appeared in some movies with smaller roles. The actress will be seen in "Son of Sardar" which releases in November 2012.
8. Amisha Patel
The actress was last seen in "Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd" which was released in 2007. Currently, Amisha is busy producing her own films some of which will mark her comeback to films.
