Contrary to what fans believe, even celebrities fall prey to cyber bullying. Bullying shouldn't be much of a big deal if it weren't for threats and haters asking people to go commit suicide. However, not everyone is turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to such threats. Justin Bieber joins the growing number of celebrities in the fight against cyber bullying.
"By now, we've all seen news reports of things that started out as jokes or private conversations that have ended up as headline news," says Justin, adding, "Now I don't want to stop you from using the internet or connecting with each other online, but I want to make sure you're aware of what's going on out there and what you can do to stop yourself from making a small mistake that could follow you for the rest of your life or ruin someone else's."
"The internet can be used as a place to have a greater positive impact on the world," continued the 18-year old singer. "There's a ton of positive initiatives online. The web should be used to inspire others, not spread hate or to hurt others," added Bieber.

Celebrities Against Cyberbullying: From Justin Bieber to Demi Lovato
"If you think that making fun of someone is harmless, you are wrong. If you think its OK to do because everyone else is doing it — you're wrong. Bullying has to stop, and it has to start with you. I want my fans to know that if you're making fun of someone because they are different, then you are no friend of mine. If you are being bullied I want you to know that there is support. I support you. Making fun of someone because they are different from you, that's not being tough. It's being ignorant. Appreciating people for how they are different from you, that's what it takes to be a friend."
