Australia: Girl Faces Attempted Murder Charges over Poisoned Brownies

A teenage girl is facing two charges of attempted murder after allegedly lacing chocloate brownies with poison which she then gave to two boys.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, put toxic cleaning fluid into the snacks before offering them to the boys, aged 12 and 13, according to police in Queensland,l Australia.

The boys were treated by medical staff after falling ill.

A police spokesman said the girl: had been charged with one count each of attempted murder and administering poison with attempt to harm as well as two counts of acts intended to maim.

The suspect has been released on bail.
