Hollywood actress Julianne Moore is the most recent victim of an NYC theft in which burglars made away with $127,000 worth of jewelry from the star’s brownstone apartment.
According to police officials, the jewelry was taken from Moore’s Manhattan apartment between June 6 and Aug. 28, when her residence was being renovated.
A police report obtained by ABC News indicates that 15 to 25 construction workers had access to the entire house during the time that the apartment was being worked on. No arrests have been reported at this time.
Multiple news outlets are reporting that seven of the 10 pieces of stolen jewelry were from Cartier, including the most expensive item of all, a $33,000 Cartier platinum diamond tennis bracelet. Four Cartier watches valued at a combined $77,800 were also taken.
A police report was filed in reference to the missing jewelry on Oct. 1. The “Boogie Nights” actress shares the home with her husband, director Bart Freundlich, and their two children.
New York City’s Buildings Department lists three permits, filed in July, for interior renovation and plumbing work, according to The New York Times.
The brownstone has been on the market twice in the past few years, the newspaper reported. The six-bedroom home was most recently listed for $12.5 million.
Moore, 51, recently won an Emmy for her portrayal of Sarah Palin in the HBO movie, “Game Change.”
