Former “American Idol” contestant Brittany Kerr has shut down her Twitter page amid much negative backlash in response to her wild night with married country singer Jason Aldean. Fans blasted Kerr via social media, calling her everything from "sk*nk" to a "homewrecking wh*re."

Photos surfaced over the weekend of the two high-profile stars getting up-close and personal at a bar presumably after one of Aldean’s shows. Aldean, who is married to Jessica Ussery, wasted no time coming clean about the cheating scandal and apologized.

"Hey Guys—I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites," Aldean wrote on his Facebook page.

"The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support."

Kerr, a Charlotte Bobcats cheerleader also recently apologized for the philandering, saying "The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part."

She adds, "I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends & family.”

According to TMZ, which cites a source, “she had no idea Aldean was married and if she would have known, she would have shut the whole thing down from the start.”

While the pictures documented Aldean leaving the bar alone, people attacked her online ... writing terrible things on her Facebook page including:

"Disgusting homewrecking tr*mp!," "what is wrong with you taking advantage of a married man while he was drinking," "everyone thinks ur a sl*t!"

Fans have also ripped Aldean on his Facebook page, especially going after the fact that he used alcohol as an excuse for his bad decision making.
