An Amber Alert was issued in Illinois after the reported abduction of Mia Graci Thompson, a three-week-old girl.
Mia was abducted in front of the Toulon Post Office in Toulon, Ill., at around 8:10 a.m. Thursday, according to the AMBER Alert posted on the website for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and issued by the Illinois State Police.
Mia, who is just three weeks old and weighs eight pounds, was wearing a yellow onesie with a flower on the left shoulder and blue jeans with pink flowers on the cuffs when she was abducted, according to the AMBER Alert.
A woman was suspected of abducting the Illinois infant. The suspect was described as a white woman wearing yellow sweatpants.
The woman abducted the infant in a gold or tan vehicle, believed to be either a Buick or Pontiac with a “backseat full of items,” according to the AMBER Alert.
Anyone with information on the abduction or Mia’s whereabouts is urged to call the Stark County Sheriff’s Office at 309-286-2541 or dial 911.
Toulon, the county seat of Stark County, has about 1,300 residents, according to CBS Chicago.
The town is about 30 miles northwest of Peoria and roughly 125 miles southwest of Chicago, according to My Fox Chicago.
