The controversial and bizarre finish in the Seattle Seahawk’s 14-12 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night won’t be reversed by the NFL.

But one online betting site is making up for anyone who picked the Packers.

According to the New York Times, Sportsbook.com notified users via email that if they picked Green Bay their bets would be refunded in the form of a free play.

Ottawa Sun writer Glen McGregor tweeted the email sent by Sportsbook Tuesday morning.

“Such smart business: The refund notice from Sportsbook for last night's Packers officiating debacle.#NFL”, McGregor tweeted and included a picture.

Many books offered a 3 or 3.5 point spread in favor of the Packers, and Seattle’s final score completely swung bets against those who picked Green Bay.

Replacement referees ruled Seahawks’ receiver Golden Tate caught a touchdown on the final play while replays later showed Green Bay safety M.D. Jennings was the first to catch the ball in the air, followed by a scrum in the end zone.

Numerous pictures circulated around the internet showing two replacement referees making two different signals on the play, one a touchdown and the other a touchback, further increasing incensed fans and league critics.

Some reports have said there was as much as a $250 million swing in bets.

"Most of the customers in the sportsbook were not happy with the final call," John Avello, director of the race and sportsbook at the Wynn in Las Vegas said to ESPN. "The shift was 100 percent. After the (Seahawks) score, all bets were reversed."
