LG Optimus Vu 2 leaked.
The successor to the original 5in LG Optimus Vu, the Optimus Vu 2, has been leaked on a Korean blog Bad IT Tong. According to blog, sporting powerful features, the unannounced LG device could bump up with a Krait MSM8960 dual-core processor, clocked at 1.5GHz.
According to the leak, the company may not increase the screen size of the second edition of Optimus Vu. The Optimus Vu 2 is said to sport a 5.0in AH-IPS LCD display packing a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
The device could boast an eight megapixel rear-facing Back-illuminated Sensor (BSI) camera, alongside a front-facing camera of 1.3 megapixel with Power LED. The Optimus Vu 2 could pack twice the RAM of the Optimus Vu. The device is said to come with an impressive 2GB LPDDR2 RAM. It could have an internal storage of 16GB and a micro SDcard slot with an additional memory space of 32GB.
It could boast a mount and replaceable 2150mAh battery. It may feature Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 BLE, MHL and NFC. It could support USB 2.0, DLNA and Wi-Fi direct.
If the leaked specs turn out to be true, the Optimus Vu 2 could directly be a tough competitor to the newly announced Galaxy Note 2. There is no word on the Vu 2's release date and price.
LG unveiled the original Optimus Vu at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 event which features a gigantic 5.0in screen and a specialised stylus. It is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon chipset with a 1.5GHz Scorpion dual-core processor.
The Optimus Vu 2 could be an improvement over the original Optimus Vu in regard to the operating system. The Optimus Vu runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), while the Vu 2 is expected to run Android (Ice Cream Sandwich).
