Tottenham's versatile midfielder Danny Rose has suggested that he would jump at the chance to join Sunderland on a permanent deal.
The 22-year-old moved to Sunderland on a season-long loan and made his debut in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the Stadium of Light last weekend.
Having struggled to make an impression in the Tottenham firs team, it seems Rose would like the opportunity to leave White Hart lane permanently.
"If there was a chance that I could move here permanently, I'd snatch it with both hands," Rose told The Sun.
"Nothing has been said of that kind. I'm just here on loan for the season and anything after that would be a bonus.
"The gaffer just asked me to come here on loan and said I'd play more games here than I would at Spurs which is right.
"I've just got to take it game by game and see where it takes me. I had interest from a couple of clubs, but once I saw the signings that Sunderland had made, it was a no-brainer and with being closer to my family as well, that helps.
"Adam Johnson has come from Man City. He could have gone to a host of Premier League clubs, but he came here.
"Louis Saha I was with last season and they paid big money for Steven Fletcher. It just shows Sunderland's intent for the season."
Rose, who can operate on the wing or at left-back, moved to Tottenham from Leeds United back in the summer of 2007 and spent the next few seasons going out on-loan in order to gain experience.
After loan spells at Watford; Peterborough and Bristol City, Rose began to make some appearances in the Tottenham first team as he provided cover for Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
However, after Spurs completed a deal for Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen, who can operate at left-back, it was clear that Rose was no longer needed at the club.
