What was once considered a preview for the conference championship could be a rout when the ever-dominant Alabama Crimson Tide face the reeling Arkansas Razorbacks in Southeastern Conference action Saturday afternoon at Razorback Stadium.

The No. 1 ranked Tide continue to roll as they trounced Western Kentucky 35-0 last week, with quarterback A.J. McCarron tossing four touchdowns and finishing with 219 yards in the air.

Alabama's defense also forced four turnovers to keep the Hilltoppers scoreless, including three fumble recoveries and one interception by junior defensive back Deion Blue.

Arkansas suffered a shocking 34-31 overtime loss to Louisiana-Monroe that saw the then-No. 8-ranked Razorbacks take a historic tumble out of the Top 25 rankings. The only other team to suffer a worse fall was Michigan after their loss to Appalachian State in 2007 saw them drop out of the rankings from No. 5.

The Warhawks quarterback Kolton Browning threw two unanswered touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to force overtime, then responded to a 37-yard field goal by Arkansas kicker Zach Hoyer with a 16-yard touchdown run to complete the upset.

Arkansas senior quarterback Tyler Wilson did not play in the second half against Louisiana-Monroe after suffering a head injury, and this week the Razorbacks will have to face the formidable defending national champions without him. Wilson will sit out today's game with the same ailment.

Redshirt freshman Brandon Allen or junior receiver Brandon Mitchell will start in Wilson's place.

Allen took over for Wilson in the second half last week and went 6-for-20 for 85 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Betting Odds: Alabama is favored by 20 points; Over/Under: 54               

Prediction: Alabama's defense has looked just as sharp as last season's historic group, and should dominate a freshman quarterback with accuracy issues.
