Harry Redknapp has revealed he is open to taking on a managerial post at any time but also insists that for him to return the offers will have to match his ambitions.
The 65 year old, who was in charge of Tottenham Hotspur for the last four seasons, was shown the door by club chairman Daniel Levy this summer and was replaced by former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas.
"It depends what comes up. It would have to be something I really fancy for me to do it. If I am going to do it, I will put myself into it 100% and give everything I've got to it. We will wait and see what comes up," Sky Sports quoted the Englishman as saying.
Redknapp is currently working as an advisor to League One side Bournemouth, where he started his managerial career and also spent four seasons as a player. Cherries' chairman Eddie Mitchell was delighted with Redknapp's decision to help out the club and believes the manager will prove to be an invaluable asset.
"We met and he offered to come in on a voluntary basis. He still has a passion for the club and for football, and he's got a lot to offer for us," BBC quoted the Bournemouth chief as saying. Mitchell also insisted the positions of manager Paul Groves and assistant coach Shaun Brooks would not be affected by Redknapp's arrival.
"Paul and Shaun will still have the final say on all football matters, there's no doubt about that. They're very astute people and they're not above listening to anyone, and I'm sure they can learn from him. They have both worked with him before and I think there's only person who would be able to get on that coach tomorrow without Paul and Shaun rejecting the idea, and that one person is Harry," he pointed out.
Redknapp was in charge of Bournemouth from 1983 to 1992. He went on to manage West Ham for seven seasons from 1994 before having two spells with Portsmouth split by a short stint at Southampton. The manager took over at Spurs in 2008 and guided them to top-four finishes twice during his time.
