Jerry “The King” Lawler collapsed when he suffered a heart attack this past Monday on WWE’s flagship weekly broadcast, “Monday Night Raw.”

WWE announcer Jerry “The King” Lawler passed out at ringside while commentating on the live broadcast of WWE Monday Night RAW. The event was not a staged part of the show, and the commentator has been brought to a Montreal hospital.

During a tag team match with Kane and Daniel Bryan facing the Prime Time Players, both Lawler and fellow announcer Michael Cole went silent, and audience and crew members began to look toward the announcement table.

Fellow announcer Michael Cole broke character on air, saying “this is a real life situation.” Cole confirmed that the 62-year-old wrestler was breathing on his own, and that he was in the emergency room.

The remainder of the show is going on without commentary out of respect for Lawler.
