Prince William and Kate Middleton's Asian Tour Itinerary, What Will They Be Doing? [PHOTOS]
The most famous royal couple will tour around Southeast Asia. What will they be doing?
On September 11 to 19, Prince William and Kate Middleton will visit the Asian lands of Singapore, Malaysia, the Solomon Islands, and Tuvalu, an island near Hawaii and Australia. This is to strengthen diplomatic relationships for the Queen's 60th year Jubilee.
According to the itinerary prepared by The Queen herself, the Duke and Duchess will spend their days visiting rainforests and learning about the culture of these nations. The upcoming tour is said to be the "most covered" tour to date, whirring up a frenzy for photographers, journalists and media personalities following the royal pair.
On September 11 to 13, the couple will be visiting Singapore. The first stop of their tour, William and Kate are said to pay a visit to a botanical garden to attend a ceremonial naming of an orchid. The orchid will be named after the two of them. There will also be a flower named after the late Princess Diana.
William and Kate will head to Malaysia next on September 13 to 15. They will be guests of honor in an English tea party prepared by Malaysian leaders. They will also visit Borneo to travel and explore a rain forest, where they are expected to witness wild orangutans in their habitat. Knowing that the pair are huge animal lovers, William and Kate are expected to have a good time.
Next up is the Solomon Islands on September 16, where they will be staying until the 18th before heading to the small island of Tuvalu. The Duke and Duchess are said to arrive at the swanky Tavanipupu Private Island resort via war canoe. The resort is famous for its "barefoot luxury" policy and other water sports such as sailing, scuba diving, fishing and kayaking-all of which the royal couple are sure to take part on.
Lastly, the Duke and Duchess will visit Tuvalu (September 18 to 19). The small island, with a population of 10,000, is hoping for the Prince's special passion to save the environment will provide solution for its main threat: the rising sea levels.
Tuvalu (Sept. 18-19), a nation of islands and about 10,000 people, hopes William's passion for the environment will help bring more attention to the threat of rising sea levels to its long-term survival.
Other members of the royal family are also set to visit parts of the word, but the royal couple's route is the most exciting of them all.
One of the most-awaited parts of the tour is the showcase of tropical clothing and ensembles the Duchess will be seen wearing. Not to be mistaken, it is said that Kate will only bring a hairdresser and will style herself again. It is also reported that that Kate will bring as much as 30 outfits and borrowed jewels from the Queen.
