Chris Zylka is a good looking blonde...but his hair must not do anything for him. "American Horror Story" executive producer Ryan Murphy was not feeling the former "Secret Circle" star's hair for his new role and asked him to shave it all off..and reportedly fired him when he didn't!

Earlier in the summer it was reported that Chris Zylka had been cast in the upcoming second season of "American Horror Story: Asylum," a new story set in the 1960's at an asylum for the criminally insane. Entertainment Weekly reported that the actor, who also appeared in "The Amazing Spider-Man," was supposed to guest star as Daniel, a deaf-mute who also happened to be "the most beautiful boy in the world."
According to Zap2it.com, the actor was supposed to be in a two-episode arc with an option to extend, but that was all cut short before he even shot a single frame for the upcoming season.

The entertainment news website reports that Zylka was cut from the cast after hesitating to shave his head for the role like Ryan Murphy had requested. Murphy decided to replace the actor and reduce the role of Daniel to a one-episode stint.
Zylka's cut from the "American Horror Story" cast comes as a surprise, especially after praising the show back in June when he booked the gig.
"It is a thrill, an honor, a challenge," AceShowBiz.com reports the 27-year-old actor revealed. "Honestly, it was as big a thrill to book ['American Horror Story'] as it was to get a part in 'The Amazing Spider-Man.' I cannot believe I will get to be in the same room as Jessica Lange, let alone work with her.
News of Zylka's departure comes on the heels of the addition of another member of the season one L.A. Murder House cast. Ryan Murphy took to his twitter page to announce Frances Conroy's new role.
"Thrilled to announce Emmy nominee Frances Conroy is returning to AHS. Devils and angels this year...Frannie plays the ultimate angel."
Conroy, previously played haunted house keeper Moira in the first addition of the mini series. Murphy has not released anymore information about her "ultimate angel" role.
Season two of "American Horror Story" will take FX viewers to the "Asylum" on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
