Snapshots of Adele's baby bump were taken last week, and excitement over the Grammy-winning songstress soared. Last year Adele stunned the audience at the MTV VMAs with her stellar performance, but will the public debut of her baby bump do the same this year?

Adele hasn't been spotted in public lately, probably to avoid swarms of paparazzi, but on Monday she, her bump and boyfriend, former investment banker Simon Konecki, were spotted on the streets of London, the Los Angeles Times reported.

She wore grey dress that clung to her bump and a long blue sweater with flats, the site said. The couple were photographed leaving a hospital and entering a car.

The New York Daily News reported that the couple looked happy and Konecki was appearing quite solicitous toward his pregnant girlfriend. A source told the website he appeared "very happy and caring."

Adele is best known for wearing black dresses to events, but maybe her pregnancy will trigger the singer to add a little color to her outfit.

Adele announced that she was pregnant on her website at the end of June, saying:

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," Adele posted. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx"

The couple began dating in the summer of 2011 but didn't go public until January of 2012. Rumors spread that Konecki was still married, so Adele took to her website to dispel the rumors:

"This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon. Contrary to reports and headlines in the press, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years. Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts. Take care and see you all in February xx"

While this will be Adele's first child, Konecki has a 5-year-old daughter from his marriage to fashion stylist Clary Fisher, Yahoo reported.
