Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas will call a vote of confidence in his government if the lower house of parliament rejects a plan to hike taxes this week, a party source said on Tuesday.

The source said Necas would resubmit the tax legislation and tie it to a vote of confidence, staking his cabinet's future on its ability to push through its fiscal agenda despite resistance from several government lawmakers.
