The Oscar-nominated actor of the film "The Green Mile" died after suffering a severe heart attack back in July. Hollywood actor Michael Clarke Duncan has been hospitalized since his heart attack and the sad news of his death came after nearly two months of treatment.

A publicist named Joy Fehily recently released a statement from the actor's fiancée, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, stating that the 54-year old Duncan died on Monday morning in a Los Angeles hospital.
According to reports, Michael Clarke Duncan suffered from a myocardial infarction last July 13 and remained in the Intensive Care Unit for several weeks. The actor never fully recovered from his condition. "I am devastated. He was the love of my life," Omarosa said as she confirmed the news about Duncan's death. Meanwhile, both public and private memorials for the actor are being planned.
The 6-foot 5-inches 300 pound actor appeared in several films including the box office hits "Armageddon," "Planet of The Apes" and "Kung Fu Panda 2" before and after his performance in "The Green Mile" that gave him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1999. The film is based on the Stephen King novel of the same title which also starred Tom Hanks as a corrections officer at a penitentiary in the 1930s while Duncan portrayed the character of a convicted murderer named John Coffey.
Duncan's role in the film saw him become a global star by winning the Best Supporting Actor category for the Black Reel Award, Broadcast Film Critics Association Award and Saturn Award. The actor also received recognition at the Golden Globe Awards, MTV Movie Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
"The Challenger" director Kent Moran revealed that Michael Clarke Duncan recently finished working on the said action drama where Duncan portrays the role of a trainer that helps boxer Jaden Miller revive his career. Moran, who also stars as Jaden Miller in the film, described that Duncan was very healthy on the set and shared that the actor coped very well with the physicality of the role. Moran also added that the news of the actor falling ill was really unexpected.
Meanwhile, with the news about the actor's tragic death, a lot of celebrity tributes poured in on the social networking site "Twitter" with former NBA star Kenny Smith stating that he will definitely visit Duncan.
