Jean-Claude Van Damme, a famous action hero who is back in business with Sylvester Stallone's "Expendables 2", is said to be keen on working with the former Miss World.

"There are so many good movies (in Bollywood). One film I remember watching is Devdas," Van Damme told Hindustan Times. "I honestly want to go to India and make a film there. Let's see if something works out."

The star is already familiar with the Indian film industry thanks to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. At the IIFA awards in 2005 Salman was seeing bonding well with Van Damme.

When asked if knows any other Bollywood star, Van Damme said, "Yes, that lady from Devdas? Is she Aishwarya Rai?"

According to him, Aishwarya would be an ideal co-star for his next film. "It has to be Aishwarya (Rai). She is absolutely gorgeous," he added with a laugh.

Aishwarya has represented India internationally and has worked in many Hollywood films like "The Pink Panther 2", "Bride and Prejudice", "Mistress Of Spices" and "The Last Legion". Her first comeback after having daughter Aaradhya was in an advertisement of Kalyan Jewellers Group, of which she is brand ambassador.

Earlier, there were reports stating that the 38-year-old actress may sign a Hollywood project with actor Billy Zane, who is known for his role in "Titanic".

On the contrary, Aishwarya's representative slammed the report saying that, "Coincidentally there are a few other international projects Aishwarya has been approached for but definitely not the one mentioned in the media by Daniel Silva [Billy Zane's Chimera]."
