It has been quite a while for the casting calls for "Catching Fire" to be completed. Who would be playing the ever handsome and clever trident-wielding victor?

Sam may not quite add up to the expectations of a few fans who have been expecting either Garrett Hedlund or Armie Hammer to be cast. Still, Sam Claflin obviously has his own hold when it comes to looks and skills. Judging from the actor's amazing archery skills in "SWATH", Sam might only need little training for "Catching Fire."
So, a few iconic spots in the film have already been filled out. First would be the three main leads Katniss Everdeen, Gale Hawthorn and Peeta Mellark played by Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson respectively. Philip Seymour Hoffman is set to play Plutarch Heavensbee while Bruno Gunn will be playing Brutus.
Another iconic character, District 7's Johanna Mason, whose spot has been filled out is that of Jena Malone. Lynn Cohen joins the cast as the 80-year old Mags, Finnick Odair's trainer. Other cast members include Stephanie Leigh as District 1 tribute, Cashmere and Maria Howell as District 11 victor, Seeder. E. Roger Mitchell also stars as Chaff, Alan Ritchson as Gloss and Meta Golding as Enobaria.
