Swansea City coach Alan Curtis has revealed that winger Scott Sinclair is close to completing a move to Manchester City.
The former Chelsea midfielder has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Etihad in recent weeks after an impressive debut season with Swansea in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old scored eight goals last season as Swansea surprised many to comfortably remain in the top flight, however, Sinclair has refused to sign a new contract and it seems he will now leave the club.
"[He is] not really interested in signing a new contract and I think Man City have made a bid," Curtis told ESPN. "So it's just a matter of time now before it happens and it's good for both parties.
"He's been terrific for us, to be fair, we've had two seasons out of him and he was superb in the Championship and virtually his goals got us promotion.
"And last year as well he wasn't maybe quite as effective as he was his first year - obviously it was a lot tougher opposition - but he's been absolutely magnificent."
Sinclair came off the bench at the weekend to score in the 5-0 win over QPR, but it could well be his last appearance for the Welsh club.
In the same game, new signing, Michu managed to score two goals on his debut and Curtis is convinced that the club can cope with the loss of Sinclair.
"Like Joe [Allen] we wish him all the best, but as long as the club keeps pushing forward that's the main thing," explained Curtis. "It obviously gives Scott the chance to settle in at his new club and it gives us the opportunity to buy a replacement for Scott."
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup may well be brining another player to the Liberty Stadium in the coming days after it was revealed that the club were close to completing a deal for Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yeung.
