Several rumored actors and actresses who could possibly portray the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" have been supported by fans through the social networking sites.

It is a very nice surprise to have one of these popular stars actually responding to the on-going craze in the film casting phenomenon.

"Gilmore Girls" actress, Alexis Bledel, recently acknowledged her fans both on her "Facebook" and "Twitter" accounts for supporting her on the possibility that she could be cast as the innocent, beautiful and blue-eyed Anastasia Steele in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie.

"Wow, I see lots of you want me to play the part of Ana in '50 Shades of Grey' : )" Bledel posted on her Twitter page. The smiley face on Alexis Bledel's message may be a good sign for her fans who would love to see her as the female lead character. The actress never clarified if she was interested in the role or she was just simply grateful for the support of her fans.

The 30-year old Alexis Bledel is a fan favorite to portray the 22-year old Anastasia Steele, despite the fact that the actress may be a little old for the part.

"From the dark hair, blue eyes and soft pale skin, Alexis would be perfect to play Anastasia. Alexis is perfect for this role, she fits the character of Ana in all ways!!!!" one fan exclaimed.

Meanwhile, Movie Pilot described Alexis Bledel having a spot on resemblance to the character Anastasia Steele who has big blue eyes.

"Not only is Bledel cute as pie, but she has Ana's sweet and innocent look down pat," Movie Pilot said.

Anastasia Steele is described as having a soft, pale skin, dark hair, blue eyes and a beauty that she does not know she possesses.

"The way Alexis enunciates and expresses herself is also not far from the way intelligent literature graduate Anastasia carries regular conversations," another fan commented.

In one of the several Anastasia Steele casting poll, Alexis Bledel dominates while leaving other favorites like actresses Lucy Hale and Emilia Clarke in the dust. However, even though Alexis Bledel is doing well on the on-going casting polls, the decision in choosing the actress to portray Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey is on the hands of the movie casting studio and author E.L James.
