Kristen Stewart will be making her first public appearance since her cheating scandal at the Toronto International Film Festival. 

Us Weekly, the same tabloid that published the photos of Stewart's affair with the married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, said Stewart will attend the festival in September to promote her new film "On the Road." The actress has been keeping a very low profile since the photos of her and Rupert Sanders recently surfaced.

The Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from Sept. 6-16,  will display a special presentation of the film, according to People.com. "On the Road," based on Jack Kerouac's novel, stars Viggo Mortensen, Garrett Hedlund, Amy Adams and Kristen Dunst.

The movie, set to hit U.S. theaters in December, is about two members of the Beat Generation, Dean and Sal, who end up on a roller coaster of a journey as they cruise through the U.S. with their significant others.

Stewart's first public appearance follows media rounds by her ex-boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, for his new film, "Cosmopolis," which opens in select U.S. cities this Friday. Earlier this week, Pattinson took New York City by storm, giving his first TV interview since the cheating scandal broke and making a red carpet appearance for the premiere of "Cosmopolis."

Although Stewart has tried to stay out of the spotlight, TMZ recently reported she is privately upset about taking the blame for the affair. Sources close to Stewart reportedly told TMZ that the actress believes Sanders was in "a position of power over her" since he was directing the movie, and the two might have to work together again. The actress also reportedly thinks Sanders should be catching more heat over the affair since he is the married father of two kids, and she was only in a committed relationship with Pattinson.
