Beverly Shiner Claims She Had An Affair With Chad Johnson While He Was Engaged to Evelyn Lozada [PHOTOS]
Reality star Evelyn Lozada has filed for divorce after allegedly being head-butted by her husband, NFL star Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson. She was married to him for six weeks.
Now, a woman named Beverly Shiner, 30, told RadarOnline she first contacted Johnson through twitter and they had an affair from January to May behind his fiancée's back.
"I Googled him before we met and saw he was engaged, but at the time there were reports that she had broken it off because she thought he was cheating, so I assumed they had split up," she told Radar. "It wasn't just a one night thing, he always said he wanted to move in with me, and said if he had I'd be pregnant by then. He kept asking if I wanted to have more kids," Shiner went on to say.
Earlier today, Lozada released the following statement:
"It is with great sadness and much trepidation that I release this statement addressing the domestic violence incident that happened this past Saturday. I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me, it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well. I'm grateful to my family, friends and fans for the outpouring of support during this difficult time," Lozada told TMZ.
According to TMZ, Lozada filed legal documents in Florida, claiming her marriage is "irretrievably broken."
Johnson and Lozada only tied the knot last month on July 4, but got into a heated argument earlier this week after Lozada found a receipt for condoms in their car, Davie police Capt. Dale Engle said, according to ESPN.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Johnson grabbed Lozada, head-butted her, and screamed her, saying, "I don't give a f**k! I don't give a f**k about my career!" Lozada then "fled on foot to a neighbor's house to get away from Johnson."
The attack sparked twitter reactions from fans, as one user tweeted: "I feel sorry for you ... no one deserves that. I would also hope it's not for tv ratings your too grown for that."
This is not the first time Johnson has been accused of domestic violence. Back in 2000, he slapped his girlfriend after she too accused him of cheating, according to TMZ. He was found guilty and was sentenced to 3 years probation and ordered to serve 45 days in L.A. County Jail. However, he was able to avoid his 45 day jail sentence by completing 30 days of graffiti removal work and a 12-month batterer's counseling program after he struck a deal with the court. He did not complete his obligations until 2002.
In addition to turmoil in her marriage, Lozada also has had to deal with death in her family. Her brother-in-law, Anthony Ochoa, who walked her down the aisle, recently lost his battle to cancer. Lozada frequently spoke about Ochoa's fight to live on her reality show "Basketball Wives" and expressed how badly she wanted him to escort her down the aisle.
"Anthony was an amazing husband, father, and brother-in-law," Lozada told TMZ. "He will be dearly missed."
