Miley Cyrus posted a picture of herself sporting her new pixie haircut on Twitter. The former "Hannah Montana" star defied the norm in Hollywood, where long tresses are equal to beauty.

It seems like Miley Cyrus have documented her hair transformation well via her Twitter account. From chopping off her locks, to coloring it to platinum blonde, Miley has now decided to cut her hair in a pixie.

Her stylist Chris McMillan was seen in a photo with Miley as he held up her bun and had sheers placed to cut them. Five hours later, the deed was done. Miley quickly posted a picture of her new haircut which resembles that of model Agyness Deyn.

"Never felt more me in my whole life," Liam Hemsworth's bride-to-be posted on her Twitter. "LOVE my hair. feel so happy, pretty, and free," she added.

Of course Miley isn't the first to sport the pixie. Before she chopped off her hair, there were many other female celebrities who were brave enough to go for the short hairstyle.

Victoria Beckham popularized her version of a signature bob which is still in demand nowadays. Other female celebrities who love their pixie includes Michelle Williams, Carrey Mulligan and Ginifer Goodwin.

Emma Watson was another female celebrity who famously chopped off her brunette locks after she filmed the last installment for the "Harry Potter" movie.
