It is a good thing that British heartthrob actor Robert Pattinson has Hollywood friends that he can count on during this ordeal in his life right now. One of those said Hollywood friends is none other than singer Katy Perry who reportedly became Pattinson's "rock" throughout the break-up.  

"Katy has been a rock for Rob," a source told the Daily Star. Katy Perry may even have a fair share of her relationship drama with close friend Robert Pattinson who is obviously still reeling from the shocking news that his girlfriend of three years cheated on him with a married film director.

The 26-year old actor has been a good friend to Katy Perry during the time of her split from actor Russell Brand after the couple's 14-month marriage. It has been revealed that Robert Pattinson remained a close contact with Katy Perry as she struggled getting over her failed marriage.

Earlier this month, Pattinson also showed his support on the singer's recent 3D movie "Katy Perry: Part of Me" and even went out to celebrate with Perry along with the famous teen idol couple Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber.

Pattinson even set up Perry with her now on-off boyfriend Robert Ackroyd who is a guitarist in the band named Florence + the Machine. This time, it is Katy Perry's turn to lend a crying shoulder to Pattinson as he goes through his Kristen Stewart heartbreak.

"Katy has reassured Rob she is very much there for him just as he was there for her when she split from Russell," a source shared.

Robert Pattinson became really devastated with the exposed photographs of "Twilight" co-star and girlfriend Kristen Stewart kissing the married "Snow White and The Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders in a Hollywood car park last July 17.

While Pattinson is still yet to be seen or release a public statement about the cheating scandal, close friends of the actor claim they are uncertain whether he will forgive Stewart's momentary indiscretion and then take her back. At present, Pattinson's friends are keeping him company and helping him in every way they can so that he can get over the cheating scandal.

In 2010, the pop sensation confessed to Q magazine that she has OCD while touring.

"I certainly have an OCD side when I'm on tour ... my worst one is if I see a pair of sunglasses with fingerprints on them. Truly, I cannot stand it. I go ape. 'Oh my God, I can't breathe! Wipe them clean! Agghhh!'"
