TMZ reports that New Orleans police issued an arrest warrant for misdemeanor battery for the actor for shoving a bartender at a bar on Bourbon Street around 2 a.m. Tuesday. No arrests were made at the scene, cops told TMZ.

Gooding, 44, is in New Orleans to shoot a historical drama titled "The Butler" with Oprah Winfrey, and allegedly became upset when bystanders started to take photos of him. When a bartender asked him to leave the bar, he reportedly pushed her.

The female bartender, however, will not be pressing charges, reports CNN.

"It is our understanding the employee involved in the alleged altercation has chosen to drop all charges against Mr. Cuba Gooding Jr.,'  Old Absinthe House spokeswoman Carolyn Pierce said in a public statement. While we continue to investigate this matter internally, we are hopeful that this will put an end to the matter."

Gooding Jr.'s only other reported run-in with the police happened in 2007, when Gooding helped save the life of a gunshot wound victim outside a Hollywood restaurant. An eyewitness told the New York Daily News:

"He saw a young kid holding his head and walked toward him. The kid was bleeding from his neck and collapsed."

Gooding flagged down a police car and waited with the young man until an ambulance arrived.

Cuba Gooding Jr. has been married to his high school sweetheart, Sara Kapfer, since 1994, and they have three children together.
