Central Coast grandmother told reporters she saw an unidentified flying object moving silently above Brisbane Water last week. Does this latest development confirm increasing UFO sightings in ? Australia
Jane Pooley, 51, is a Catholic registered nurse. She says, "I've seen some pretty weird things," hinting that she was not making a fuss over nothing.
The Brisbane Water, which is not far away from Ms Pooley's residence, is known for being one of
's UFO hotspots. Australia
Ms Pooley says the aircraft she saw looked as if it had rotating lights. However, her sighting has yet to be confirmed.
There is another video of UFO sighting uploaded over the weekend on YouTube, even as such news updates are often met with cynicism.
Australian UFO investigator Doug Moffett says people laughing over reports of UFO sightings are already expected.
"That's the way it is usually treated in the media - like this fun topic to laugh at, rather than being treated as a scientific possibility," he said.
In the video description of the other recent UFO sighting in Australia is the following message:
"This video of multiple unknown lights was filmed over Woden area in Canberra, Australia on the 7th July 2012."
A video frame says the UFOs were not moving above for several minutes. And then they began to move slowly as if to make a formation.
Both cases are met with lukewarm reception. Mr Moffett hints he does not mind hearing of different belief systems.
"What I'm trying to achieve is for people to not knee-jerk dismiss things" he said.
