Valve's Steam gaming platform just opened its annual summer sale that offers games that are 50 percent less than their normal prices.

Get games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Portal 2 for lesser value. The sale will run through July 22, and includes price cuts on thousands of games. The site also offers daily deals, flash sales, and community choice discounts.

According to Kotaku, “Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" content season will be coming to a close in September. This paves the way for the release of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,” due for release on Nov. 13.

"The annual Steam Summer Sale is on now. Gamers will find amazing deals on thousands of games. The Summer Sale will again feature more than straight discounts, offering Daily Deals, Flash Sales and 'Customer Choice' Sales, the latter allowing gamers to vote for a title on a given list to be put on sale for a limited time," Valve said in a press release.

Enjoy a 50 percent discount of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ($29.99), 75 percent off Portal 2 ($4.99), 50 percent of Might & Magic: Heroes VI ($24.99), and more for today as its daily deal. Valve also features flash sales, which features games in a limited time. Users can order them while they last.

Steam Summer Sale is also offering up Pack Deals, which bundle multiple games from the same publisher. The PopCap Collection, for example, includes almost three dozen games - including versions of Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies - for $49.99, a savings of $124.67. The 2K Collection is offering up BioShock 2, Duke Nukem Forever, Civilization V, Mafia II, and more for $49.99.

Valve is also making a poll and allows consumers to have their say on the games on the site. Valve is also asking for its consumers' opinion on which game they would like to see discounted next. A new vote starts every eight hours, with faster flash sales popping up throughout the day under it.
