Ryan Gosling still wins hearts over the Nicholas Sparks' film adaptation, "The Notebook". Again, the hottest man alive never fails to impress female fans with "Drive". Now, Ryan Gosling is set for another swoon-worthy action flick this year with "Gangster Squad".
Ryan Gosling as Christian Grey
The question is: Would Ryan add playing the role of Christian Grey for "Fifty Shades of Grey" to his list?
E.L. James best-selling erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey" continues to top the must-read book lists of the year. It has gone from selling e-books online to selling paperbacks worldwide. The story isn't the run-of-the-mill romance.
"Fifty Shades" tackles an even darker side to love both physically and emotionally. The characters, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, has caused readers of the book to either be them or see their favorite actors cast as them. The story and the "potential" actors to play the leads are the best bet as to why the book's popularity continues to rise.
To date, there has been a sale of over 10 billion and the number increases each second. America, Australia and Asia are hooked on the book that a lot of fan forums have popped up from every corner of the web.
One particular group that has dubbed Ryan Gosling as the favorite male actor to play the brooding, Christian Grey, is "Bookies".
The Hollywood hunk is at a solid odd of 2 to 1 for the film role. In second place would be "Vampire Diaries" star, Ian Somerhalder and coming in at third place is Michael Fassbender. Sure, Ryan Gosling is a "Bookies" favorite and all but would the 31-year old actor want to play the role?
Universal Studios is yet to complete a cast for the film and fans are all in frenzy for the miniscule details. E.L. James even tweeted yesterday that casting is far from done and it hasn't even begun. Thinking about it now, with the books causing one hell of a rampage, surprisingly the film would to.
"The nation has gone 50 shades of crazy for the book so it's impossible to see how the film won't be a success either," explained Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes. "The odds suggest 50 Shades will cane its competition in the box office," continued Jessica.
