Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh is on around €3 million per year, according to Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade, with the club sighting that as the main reason they won't be taking him on this summer.
Yesterday Arsene Wenger claimed that the Italian outfit had made enquiries about Chamakh, with the view of making a purchase to beef up their front line.
But with his sky high wages at Arsenal, Prade has insisted that the club have other striking options in mind.
"Have we made an offer for Chamakh? We have not made one because he earns 3million euros [per season]," he told Sport Italia.
"We hope to complete [Ajax forward] El Hamdaoui's transfer tomorrow [Wednesday].
