Would you spend $90 on a plain white T-shirt? Probably not. But it's the latest addition to www.goop.com:  a white tee designed by Gwyneth Paltrow -- and people are buying it.

Grosgrain piping has been added to the shoulders and sides of the T-shirt, and the length has been shortened to modernize the standard item, but from the front, it really doesn't stand out too much from your average white T-shirt, especially not as much as the price indicates that it should.

And the T-shirt is only offered in one size that claims to comfortably fit a U.S. size 0 to 8.

The Goop Collection, featured on Paltrow's lifestyle website, aims to put together all "must have items" in one place. Each week, the Goop launches one limited-edition collaboration item from wardrobes samples to home accessories.

This week's item is "the Marrakesh jean," a wide-leg, lengthening jean that comes with a price tag of $200. The Goop collaborated with MiH to develop the unwashed pure denim. "Over time and with wear, the color will change naturally to become your own worn-in, faded favorite," states the Goop's description.

In other celebrity designer news, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen launched a black alligator backpack with a $34,000 price tag.

"Crafted in Italy using traditional techniques and specially sourced materials, the Row's black alligator backpack is a key style from the label's sought-after accessories collection. Transcend the seasons, and carry it year-round with the canvas straps or short-top handle, keeping the rest of your look pared-back to keep the focus on this covetable carryall," the bag is described on the retailer's website.
