Actress Katie Holmes recently filed for divorce from her husband of five years, actor Tom Cruise, and that's not the only relationship news in Hollywood to cause a ruckus of speculation among celebrity watchers.

From happier news like the engagement of actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to the shocking split of model Heidi Klum and singer Seal, here are other celebrity relationship developments that made headlines and raised a few eyebrows.

Reports are suggesting that the split might have something to do with Cruise’s links to the Church of Scientology. Holmes reportedly doesn’t want their daughter, Suri, to be involved in the organization. Cruise was previously wed to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman, respectively; Cruise is Holmes first husband.

The two have built quite a life together, not to mention a huge family. But they have said they don’t want to get married until everyone can get married -- i.e. same-sex couples -- even though they’ve both been married before (he to Jennifer Aniston and she to Jonny Lee Miller and, later, Billy Bob Thornton). Jolie was spotted with a diamond ring on her finger earlier this year, and Pitt’s spokeswoman confirmed the two were engaged.

“It is a promise for the future, and their kids are very happy,” she said, Reuters reported. “There's no date set at this time.”

The never-before-wed actor and Brazilian model finally married in June after being together for five years (and having two children). The couple just announced that they are expecting their third child. These two crazy kids just might make it!

The retired NBA player and his ex-wife already had two kids together when they married in 2003. She filed for divorce the following year, but it didn’t become final until this year. Rodman owed her $860,376 in child and spousal support, reported the L.A. Times in March. More recently, a judge extended Moyer’s temporary restraining order against her him after he allegedly barged into her home in May. Rodman was previously married to Annie Bakes and model/actress Carmen Electra, respectively.

The seemingly happy couple announced their impending divorce in January, which was a shock for fans and other celebrity watchers. The model, previously wed to stylist Ric Pipino, and singer famously renewed their vows annually after marrying in 2005. Everything seemed fine, until it wasn’t.

The 54-year-old actor -- previously wed to Kim Basinger, with whom he had a daughter -- just married his 28-year-old yoga instructor. He’s been noted for his hot-headedness.
