One Direction star Harry Styles made headlines last year when it emerged that he was secretly dating X Factor presenter Caroline Flack.

It now appears that this may not have been the first time a cougar, or older woman, bedded the singer.

According to the Sun, the teenage heartthrob had a brief fling last year with a 32-year-old radio DJ Lucy Horobin when he was 17, after she fell for him during a radio interview.

Despite Horobin being married at the time, the pair allegedly began a whirlwind romance, with Horobin telling a friend that "the sex was amazing".

A source told the Sun: "She was having a few difficulties in her marriage and it just happened.

"She knows people will hate her for doing it, particularly with a young lad who is so high profile, but life is not always black and white."

After the affair quickly fizzled out, Styles embarked on his controversial romance with Flack.

The source said that Horobin is now trying to make her marriage work after coming clean with her husband, Oliver Pope.
