Since the announcement that Brendan Rodgers had been named the new manager of Liverpool, transfer speculation has been become a major topic at Anfield.

While the Reds search for upgrades at some key positions, there have also been reports of notable names departing Liverpool.

Martin Skrtel has been the subject of multiple reports in recent days. The Daily Mail linked the 27-year-old centre back to Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, while Daily Mirror reported that Manchester City were interested in a £20 million bid for the Slovakia star.

Daily Mail also reported that goalkeeper Pepe Reina was considering a move to AC Milan. The 29-year-old Spaniard has been with Liverpool since 2005, after leaving Villarreal.

The possible departures of Skrtel and Reina seem rather far-fetched. While Rodgers might be interested in making changes, Reina and Skrtel don't appear to be players the Reds would part with.

Multiple media outlets have reported on Gylfi Sigurdsson leaving Bundesliga squad Hoffenheim, and Liverpool still appear to be the frontrunners for the Icelandic star. Sigurdsson played for Rodgers at Swansea, and might be an ideal fit at Anfield.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is valued at about £7 million.

There haven't been any new reports involving Seydou Keita joining the Reds. The Barcelona midfielder was heavily linked to Liverpool in November, and the speculation carried over until May. The 32-year-old Malian can play either defensive midfielder or central midfielder, and has been valued as low as £2 million.

Another player who has reportedly been on Liverpool's radar is Scott Sinclair of Swansea. The 22-year-old striker is rated at about £5 million.
