Couple Nicole Richie and Joel Madden arrive back in the United States together with their very sleepy kids. It is possible that the long flight home took a toll on their beautiful children, Harlow and Sparrow, making both kids looking tired.
Home sweet home for Joel Madden and Nicole Richie with children Harlow and Sparrow.
Richie and Madden both had work commitments in the land Down Under but the time finally came for the family to return home to sunny California.
During their stay in Australia, the children also had a bit of a shock when the little kids saw their grandfather, Lionel Richie, perform with their daddy on "The Voice" last Sunday. Harlow and Sparrow had absolutely no idea that their grandfather was also involved in the music industry just like their father, let alone that he is a bona fide music legend.
According to Perth Now, Lionel Richie recalled that while he was singing a duet with son-in-law Joel Madden, he could see his daughter Nicole with the kids out of the corner of his eyes. The expression on his grandchildren's faces made him realize that Harlow and Sparrow never saw him perform on stage before.
Meanwhile, Lionel Richie shared that he was also nervous for Madden as they walked out together to sing his enduring hit "Easy" on "The Voice."
"Singing with your father-in-law is enough to make your nervous. Singing with your father-in-law in front of your family and a couple of million people at the finale of a show, I would have passed out. It could go all wrong. But it was great," Richie said about his duet experience with his son-in-law.
Nicole Richie has also been busily promoting in Australia her fashion line "House of Harlow 1960." The fashion icon was at the Australian store David Jones to launch the new sunglasses and handbag range from her line last month.
Richie admitted in a radio interview that she has become enchanted with Sydney and will find a way to spend more time in the sun-drenched city. She really loves the city because she finds people to be nice, welcoming and very respectful. Nicole said that she is looking forward to come back to Australia together with her family.
