Melissa Joan Hart has inked a book deal for her upcoming memoir, which is aptly named for the Nickelodeon show that made her famous.

"Melissa Explains It All: Tales from My Abnormally Normal Life" will be published by Macmillan's St. Martin's Press and is scheduled for release in fall of 2013, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Melissa Joan Hart, best know for her role in the Nickelodeon show "Clarissa Explains It All," is writing a memoir.

The publisher told THR that the memoir would be "forthright and funny" and that Hart would write about the "actors she worked with, competed against, befriended," among other topics.

Hart rose to fame as the title character in the television show "Clarissa Explains It All." She played a teenager who broke the fourth wall and spoke directly to the audience about what was going on in her teenage life. The show ran for five seasons.

After "Clarissa," Hart starred in another sitcom, "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch." Hart played the title character, a young woman with magical powers. The show and character were based on the Archie Comics series of the same name. "Sabrina" ended its seven-season run in 2003.

Hart has kept up with acting, although she leads a fairly low-key existence by today's celebrity standards. She's appeared mostly in family-oriented productions over the past decade, including made-for-TV movies.

She starred in the 1999 film "Drive Me Crazy" opposite "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier.

She's also dabbled in reality television. Her wedding to musician and singer Mark Wilkerson was filmed for a television special titled "Tying the Knot." (Hart is pregnant with their third child. She made the announcement on Twitter in April.) She also competed on Season 9 of "Dancing With the Stars" with professional dance partner Mark Ballas (singer Donny Osmond won that season).

Hart currently stars in the ABC Family sitcom "Melissa & Joey," playing one of the title characters opposite Joey Lawrence of "Blossom" fame.

Hart's a busy lady, but that won't stop her from writing. This memoir, she tweeted, is her "next adventure."
