The Voice Australia is only hours away from announcing its first season champion. Karise Eden is quite popular in the social network shout-outs. Her "Hallelujah" cover on Monday night has ranked second at ARIA singles chart, which is a strong statement on fans' support.
Perhaps the psychic's prediction is right on the money, after all?
Here's a recap of what happened Sunday night on The Voice:
Sarah DeBono of Team Joel Madden was first to perform with Aussie favorite Tina Arena's ballad, "If I Didn't Love You." Arena rendered some serious vocal power into the original version. But DeBono managed to do the same with an even edgier flavor. Great start.
Coach Delta Goodrem commented on the fact that it is not easy being the first performer in the competition, but DeBono did a fine job.
By the second round, DeBono sang her original composition called, "Beautiful." Impressive, but the tune might be lacking in the charms that made Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" do well in the charts.
Karise Eden of Team Seal sang her original composition, "I Was Your Girl." The Voice fans know by now that Eden has had quite a troubled past. The words she sang were punctuated by some heartfelt emotions.
The judges were up on their feet. Seal called her more than just "the voice." He said she has shown Australia she's a legit artist.
For Eden's second number, she sang Lorraine Ellison's "Stay with Me Baby." The first round was much better for her.
Rachael Leahcar of Team Delta sang "Smile" by Charlie Chaplin. She put the song to some whole new heavenly heights with her angelic rendition. The judges were on their feet again.
For Leahcar's second number, she dished out her own composition, "Shooting Star." The song is a tribute to her "inspiration" and mentor, Delta Goodrem.
Darren Percival of Team Keith Urban performed "Damage Down," his original composition. For his second number, he took on Stevie Wonder's "For Once in My Life." He was good in both numbers, but somehow the show's avid viewers knew a girl would win the whole thing come Monday night.
Love her or loathe her, Delta Goodrem looked stunning in her abs-baring shimmering dress Sunday night, courtesy of Collette Dinnigan.
"Delta, you looked so beautiful tonight! It was a pleasure to dress you on the Voice. Love C x," Dinnigan shouts out on Twitter.
Dinnigan posted the photo below on Twitter.
Australia will tune in on Nine tonight to find out the country's first The Voice champion.
