$1.3 Billion Billboard In Dubai Is ‘World’s Most Expensive Billboard,’ Says Skydive Dubai [PHOTOS, VIDEO]

A billboard for Skydive Dubai and Denver-based Go Fast energy products in Dubai was named the "World's Most Expensive Billboard" by the companies, since it would cost $1.3 billion a month to operate around the clock.

But how could a billboard cost that much to operate?

Perhaps because of the man who flies around the billboard in the air in a jet pack, which costs over $500 per second, according to Skydive Dubai. $1.3 billion amounts to the cost of the fly time over a thirty day period.

"The billboard involved a man with a Jet Pack, initially hidden within the billboard, who emerged from the billboard and flew around it for approximately 20-30 seconds, before landing back on the billboard," Emaar Properties-backed Skydive Dubai said in a press release.

The billboard is located at the entrance of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in Dubai overlooking the beautiful -- and world's largest island -- Palm Islands, to advertise the company's skydiving tours over the Dubai skyline.

"This is an epic moment," Skydive Dubai chairman Nasser Al Neyadi said after he unveiling on Monday. "This initiative is another example showcasing Dubai as a world leader in innovation and technology."

According to the release, a man in a jet pack appeared from the center of the billboard and flew around for a half-minute before landing in front on a dock.
