Former Disney Princess, Miley Cyrus, has gone from puppy love to true-blue romance. The 19-year old star surprised fans yesterday with her engagement with long time beau, Liam Hemsworth.

It's an 'aw-inducing' moment for the lovebirds of three years. So, here's a trip down memory lane with Miley & Liam's hottest red carpet photos together.

Miley Cyrus first met Australian actor, Liam Hemsworth, on the set of the "Last Song" in 2009. The two immediately felt a strong attraction to the other. This had caused a believable chemistry on screen that lasted even after the film premiere. Despite having an on-off and on again relationship, the Miley & Liam trend still continues.

Now it looks as if "The Hunger Games" hunk has finally weighed in on a life-changing decision. Liam Hemsworth proposed to Miley Cyrus last May 31 with a whopping 3.5-carat diamond ring by jeweler, Neil Lane. A representative for the Aussie actor confirmed the news in an interview with Celebuzz. As for Miley Cyrus, the 19-year old could not contain her happiness and tweeted her engagement on Twitter.

"Thank you for all the love today :) I'm happy to share this news with you all. I feel like all my dreams are coming true. ❤ have a great day," tweeted Miley.

In another statement released by Miley Cyrus, Miley opened up about her engagement with Liam in an interview with People Magazine.  

"I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam," shared Miley for People Magazine.

Fans are of course expressing their utmost joy for Miley and Liam's announcement. However, a few are on a wild debate saying Miley is too young to get married. Still, Liam and Miley look like one very happy couple and both have been through a lot together considering all the scandals Miley had ever been in. The couple's engagement still comes as a shock to a few fans given both actors denied the engagement earlier in April.

Miley's father, Billy Ray Cyrus has already given the couple his blessing so all that's left now are the iconic wedding bells.  Liam's older brother, Chris Hemsworth, has yet to release a statement with regards to the couple's engagement news. Now that the deal is sealed, what's next for the powerful couple?
