When Michelle Obama appeared in "Good Morning America" to promote her new book about gardening, the First Lady confessed her admiration to famous singer Beyoncé.
Michelle Obama spiced things up in Dallas Friday as she judged a cooking competition with "Top Chef's" host Tom Colicchio and White House chef Sam Kass.
Michelle Obama just recently admitted that she would like to switch lives with superstar singer Beyoncé and this time again, she declared her deep admiration for the singer. While the First Lady of the United States visited the studio of "Good Morning America" to promote her new book about gardening, apart from promoting her anti-obesity campaign, she also talked about Beyoncé.
"I love her to death," Mrs. Obama said on her interview with Robin Roberts while she promotes her book "American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America."
"Anybody who's got talent, I'm all for. Beyoncé has just been a tremendous supporter of Lets Move. Beyoncé stepped up," Michelle said of the singer who she saw in concert with her two daughters over the weekend.
Talking about her new book, Michelle spoke about her fear that she would never be able to have a garden at the White House. But much to her surprise, there is now an 11,000 square ft. of land for vegetable which she manages with the help of hundreds of children.
"It really makes a huge difference for kids' engagement in what they eat if they're part of the process. One in three of our kids are overweight or obese but this isn't about the government telling people what to do. It's about giving parents the tools to make choices," she said.
Michelle's interview in Good Morning America comes after she told "People" magazine that if she could switch lives with any celebrity, she would pick the 30-year-old singer.
Looking back, Beyoncé posted an open handwritten letter to Michelle Obama on her website. She cited that Michelle was an ultimate example of a "strong African-American woman" and that she was happy that Blue Ivy would grow up having someone like Michelle to look up to. The two ladies seem to share a common love for each other and they are more than proud to show it.
