The Grammys may be over and done but UK still has their say about today's best musicians with the BRIT Awards 2012. In a not so surprising turn of events, Adele once again takes home wins and even Lana Del Ray receives the unexpected. So who were the winners at the music filled awards show at O2, London?

Comeback artist, Adele, surprised everyone at her Grammy Awards Night Performance of which she shook the whole crowd with her famous song, "Rolling in the Deep." She took home six awards from six nominations, but for the BRIT Awards Adele had managed to only take home two. Yet, it was still a big win for the British songstress.
An unexpected win came in the form of Lana Del Ray. Despite constant criticisms from all over Hollywood tabloids about her recent stint at an episode of Saturday Night Live, Lana Del Ray won the award for International Breakthrough Act at the BRIT Awards.

Lana Del Ray took to the stage in a stunning low-cut red dress with obvious tears in her eyes as she accepted the award from Black Eyed Peas rapper, Will.i.am and the comedian, Rob Brydon.
"This award means much more to me than you know and I just wanna say that without the support of everyone is this room and everyone in the UK I'd really be lost so thank you, I love you," said Lana.
The American singer and songwriter beat fellow nominees Bon Iver, Aloe Blacc, Nicki Minaj and Foster the People for the awards.
Another breakthrough win at the BRIT Awards is Rupert Grint's doppelganger, Ed Sheeran. Ed was the night's big winner with two awards of which are British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
