Houston's funeral service will take place at the her childhood church, the New Hope Baptist Church, where she sang gospel as a child. Her ex-husband Bobby Brown , "The Bodyguard" co-star Kevin Costner, her cousin Dionne Warwick, Ray J, Brandy, Alicia Keys, Tyler Perry and CeCe Winans and mother Cissy are said to be on the guest list for the invitation-only service. Houston's godmother, Aretha Franklin, and Stevie Wonder will sing tributes to the dead singer.

Houston died last Saturday at the age of 48 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She will buried at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J., the same place where her father was put to rest.
