Lady Gaga revealed another private detail about her younger days wherein she admitted she suffered from bulimia. During a conference, the "Bad Romance" singer shared how she became bulimic due to her strong desire to have a skinny ballerina body.

The popstar said that she spent most of her high school days throwing up because she was not happy with her voluptuous shape. Even now, with the pressure to stay in top shape in a business like entertainment, she admits that weight is still a struggle for her.

The 25 year-old singer whose real name is Stefani Germanotta confessed her painful experience as a victim of bullying when she was younger. Her desire to be thin and to fit in has led her to become bulimic.

"I used to throw up all the time in high school. So I'm not that confident. I wanted to be a skinny little ballerina but I was a voluptuous little Italian girl whose dad had meatballs on the table every night," the eccentric singer said.

"I used to come home and say, 'Dad, why do you always give us this food? I need to be thin.' And he'd say, 'Eat your spaghetti.' It's really hard, but you've got to talk to somebody about it."

Being bulimic has affected her voice so she decided to stop. In a women's conference in Los Angeles, the singer shared with her audience that she's still having a difficult time dealing with her weight. She cited that every magazine cover or video she is in is actually altered in order for her to look thinner.

At the end of her message, she addressed the young girls to stop their war on extreme dieting. Lady Gaga said that it has been affecting girls at a young age and has been making them sick.

Later this month Lady Gaga is set to launch her Born This Way Foundation which aims to put an end to bullying and encourage self-expression.
