Virginia felt a strong aftershock Monday evening, registering a 3.2 on the Richter scale. The U.S. Geological Survey said the aftershock's epicenter was near Louisa, Va., near central Virginia.

The aftershock, which occurred at 6:39 p.m. on Monday, is one of 90 aftershocks that has occurred since a 5.8 earthquake hit Mineral, Va. in August, which was felt up the east coast.

No damage has been reported from Monday's aftershock, which was one of the strongest of Virginia's aftershocks since the August earthquake. After the Aug. 23 quake, Virginia's strongest aftershocks were a 4.5 on Aug. 25, a 3.4 on Aug. 24, and a 3.4 on Sept. 12.  Aftershocks can continue for months after the original earthquake.
